Plagiarism Policy

Al-imad Journal of Humanities and Applied Sciences (AJHAS) is committed to publishing only original and high-quality research. To ensure academic integrity, the journal has a strict policy against plagiarism.

  • Definition of Plagiarism: Plagiarism is the act of using another person's ideas, words, or other creative work without proper acknowledgment. This includes both direct copying and paraphrasing without citation. Self-plagiarism, which is the reuse of one's own previously published work without proper citation, is also considered an ethical violation.

  • Plagiarism Detection: All manuscripts submitted to AJHAS are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin.

  • Acceptable Similarity Index: The journal's policy requires that the similarity index of a submitted manuscript, as reported by the software, should not exceed 25%.

  • Actions Taken: If a manuscript is found to have a similarity index above the acceptable threshold, or if any form of plagiarism is detected, the manuscript will be immediately rejected. The authors may also be subject to sanctions, including being barred from submitting to the journal in the future.

  • Author Responsibility: It is the authors' responsibility to ensure that their work is original and that all sources are properly cited. Authors are encouraged to use the plagiarism detection software themselves before submitting their manuscript to ensure it meets the journal's standards.
