Open Access Policy

Al-imad Journal of Humanities and Applied Sciences (AJHAS) is committed to the principle of open access, believing that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Our open access policy is based on the following:

  • Free and Immediate Access: All articles published in AJHAS are available online immediately upon publication without any subscription fees, registration, or paywalls. This means that readers worldwide can freely access, download, read, and print any published article.

Licensing: All content published by AJHAS is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License. This license allows users to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, and to remix, transform, and build upon the material, provided that appropriate credit is given, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated. The use must be for non-commercial purposes.

  • Benefits of Open Access: This model promotes the widest possible dissemination of research, enhancing the visibility and impact of authors' work. It facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration and ensures that research findings are accessible to academics, policymakers, practitioners, and the general public, regardless of their institutional affiliations or economic status.

  • Author Rights: Authors retain the copyright to their work, while granting the journal the right of first publication under the Creative Commons license. This allows authors to archive their pre-print, post-print, and publisher's version of the article in an institutional repository or other publicly accessible repositories, provided that the journal is acknowledged as the original place of publication.

  • Sustainability Model: To support this open access model and cover the costs associated with publication services (including peer review management, editing, formatting, DOI assignment, and long-term archiving), AJHAS applies an Article Processing Charge (APC). This fee ensures the sustainability of the journal's operations and its ability to continue providing high-quality open access content.
