Data Sharing Policy
Al-imad Journal of Humanities and Applied Sciences (AJHAS) encourages authors to share the research data underlying their publications. This policy supports transparency, reproducibility, and the advancement of science.
-
Data Availability Statement: Authors are required to provide a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript, which should specify where the data supporting the results can be found. This statement should include links to publicly available datasets or, if the data is not publicly available, an explanation of the restrictions.
-
Types of Data: Data includes, but is not limited to, raw data, processed data, software, algorithms, protocols, and other materials used to generate the results.
-
Repository and Licensing: Authors are encouraged to deposit their data in a recognized data repository. When depositing data, authors should choose a license that permits maximum reuse by others, such as a Creative Commons license.
-
Ethical and Privacy Considerations: When sharing data, authors must ensure that they have the right to do so and that it complies with all ethical and privacy regulations. Data involving human subjects, for example, must be anonymized to protect participant privacy.
-
Exceptions: If the data cannot be shared due to ethical, legal, or proprietary reasons, authors should state this clearly in their Data Availability Statement and provide an explanation.
By adopting this policy, AJHAS aims to foster a culture of open science and ensure the long-term accessibility of research data.
