University Education Outputs at Bani Waleed University and Labor Market Needs: An Analytical Study for the Period from 2019 to 2022

This research aims to analyze the extent to which the outputs of university education at Bani Walid University align with the needs of the local labor market from 2019 to 2022. By examining graduate statistics across various scientific and humanitarian disciplines, the study identifies a significant structural and qualitative gap between academic supply and labor market demands. The descriptive-analytical approach was employed, supported by official statistical reports and recent empirical literature. The findings indicate a predominance of theoretical outputs, particularly in humanities, contrasting with a high market demand for technical and scientific specializations. This mismatch contributes to graduate unemployment, prompting many to alter their professional paths or seek supplementary training. The study concludes with strategic recommendations, emphasizing the necessity of restructuring academic programs, enhancing practical training, and strengthening institutional collaboration between the university and economic sectors to foster sustainable local development.
