Students' Attitudes Toward Their Professional Future in Light of Labor Market Variables: A Field Study on a Sample of Students from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Sirte University

This study aims to explore the attitudes of students at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Sirte University, toward their professional future amidst digital transformations and rapid changes in the contemporary labor market. The research problem addresses the necessity for Libya's health sector to keep pace with global developments and digital services, evaluating the alignment of academic curricula with these requirements. Utilizing a descriptive approach and a questionnaire, the study was conducted on a random sample of 94 students specializing in Medical Laboratories, Anesthesia and Intensive Care, and Dental Technology. Results revealed a moderate level of alignment between academic preparation and labor market needs, with students perceiving a gap between theory and practice. Findings also indicated high levels of concern regarding employment challenges, such as limited government opportunities and the impact of economic conditions. Furthermore, students showed a clear preference for the public sector for its job security, despite recognizing the private sector's role in skill development.
