Beauty and Artistic Creativity: An Aesthetic Philosophical Approach

Abstract

This research addresses the problematic relationship between philosophy, aesthetics, and artistic creativity, aiming to construct an integrated philosophical approach that serves both academic researchers and art practitioners. The study explores whether beauty is an objective reality, a subjective judgment, or an interactive space formed between the artwork and the beholder. It unfolds across six chapters covering the evolution of beauty in Western philosophy, the contributions of Arab and Muslim philosophers, theories of artistic creativity, the context of fine arts education, and the dilemma of beauty between cultural specificity and human universality. The study concludes that beauty is an evolving historical concept, that artistic creativity is an existential act transcending technical craftsmanship, and that philosophical awareness deepens an artist's vision.
