This research explores the phenomenon of "Al-Naqa'id" poetry during the Umayyad era, approaching it as a sophisticated intellectual and literary manifestation rather than a mere tribal dispute. The study aims to unveil the "luminous dimensions" of this genre, highlighting its pivotal role in enriching the Arabic linguistic repertoire and documenting the historical and genealogical records of the Arabs. By employing a descriptive-historical methodology, the paper examines the conceptual foundations of Al-Naqa'id, its socio-political catalysts, and its unique artistic characteristics. The findings suggest that Al-Naqa'id served as an early form of "literary dialectics" that flourished under the influence of Islamic rhetoric and the burgeoning intellectual activity of the period. Ultimately, the research argues for a re-evaluation of this art form, emphasizing its positive contributions to the preservation of cultural identity and the refinement of literary criticism in early Islamic civilization.
