The Role of Human Resource Management Strategies in Achieving Competitive Advantage: An Applied Study on Hatif Libya Company – Bani Walid Branch

This study aimed to examine the role of human resource management (HRM) strategies in achieving competitive advantage within Hatif Libya Company, Bani Walid branch. The research addressed the importance of human capital as a strategic resource that enhances organizational performance, improves service quality, and strengthens the ability to face competitive challenges. Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, the study utilized a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection from a sample of 20 employees and managers. The research focused on key HRM strategies, including recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and incentives, and performance appraisal, and evaluated their impact on competitive advantage dimensions such as service quality, operational efficiency, innovation, and customer satisfaction. The study concluded that there is a positive, statistically significant relationship between HRM strategies and achieving competitive advantage. These strategies contributed to improving performance levels, developing employee skills, and increasing creativity, which positively reflected on service quality and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the results emphasized the importance of adopting an integrated strategic vision for HRM aligned with the organization’s goals. The study recommended enhancing training and development programs, refining incentive and performance appraisal systems, and focusing on attracting and retaining high-quality human talent to ensure institutional excellence and competitive sustainability in the telecommunications sector.
