This study aims to identify the professional training needs of secondary school teachers in light of contemporary changes and developments, specifically in the following areas: theoretical knowledge and information related to the professional aspect; lesson planning in each teacher's specialization; effective teaching methods, techniques, and strategies; the use of interactive whiteboards in teaching; student achievement assessment; student interaction during instruction; and statistically significant differences attributable to the study variables: experience, academic qualifications, and gender. The study used an electronic questionnaire to collect data, which was administered to a sample of 175 secondary school teachers from the Qarabulli Education Authority. The study recommends utilizing its findings to implement and activate the identified professional training needs in in-service training programs. These programs should contribute to raising the level of teachers and developing their performance in line with educational advancements. Furthermore, the study recommends revising teacher preparation and training programs by subjecting them to continuous evaluation and development processes to meet contemporary needs and requirements.
