This study investigates the rapid social, economic, and technological transformations in contemporary Libyan society and their profound implications for the reshaping of identity among youth. As the demographic most exposed to globalization, digital expansion, and structural shifts, young people find themselves navigating a complex landscape where traditional values intersect with modern, cross-border influences. Utilizing a descriptive-analytical approach grounded in symbolic interactionism and social identity theory, the research examines how these overlapping variables impact national, cultural, and social identification processes. The findings reveal that social transformations do not inherently dismantle identity; rather, they initiate a continuous dynamic of negotiation, adaptation, and structural reconfiguration. Libyan youth actively reconcile local heritage and tribal or regional affiliations with globalized digital culture, illustrating fluid yet resilient identity patterns. Ultimately, the study highlights that the primary socio-educational challenge lies in fostering frameworks that empower young people to critically engage with contemporary global changes while safeguarding societal cohesion and cultural authenticity.
