Abstract

This study aims to investigate the reality of strategic thinking and its relationship with the quality of administrative decisions at the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) – Beni Walid Branch. Using a descriptive-analytical methodology, a questionnaire consisting of 24 items was distributed to a sample of employees, resulting in 135 valid responses. The findings reveal a high level of perception regarding both strategic thinking practices and administrative decision quality. Furthermore, a strong positive correlation was found between strategic thinking and the quality of administrative decisions (r = 0.969, p < 0.001). The study recommends enhancing inter-departmental coordination, linking strategic priorities to clear criteria, and expanding employee participation in the decision-making process.
