Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between human resource management (HRM) strategies and perceived competitive advantage among employees at Libya Phone Company, Bani Walid Branch. Utilizing a descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected from a sample of 31 employees using a structured questionnaire. The dimensions of HRM strategies included recruitment and selection, training and development, performance appraisal, and compensation and incentives. The findings revealed a high level of perception regarding HRM strategies overall, while perceived competitive advantage scored at a moderate level. Pearson correlation analysis indicated no statistically significant overall relationship between total HRM strategies and perceived competitive advantage, nor for recruitment, training, or performance appraisal individually. However, a statistically significant positive relationship was found between compensation and incentives and perceived competitive advantage. The study highlights the methodological importance of internal consistency and recommends refining incentive structures and aligning training with functional needs.
